Bicycle / Tractor-Trailer Accident Reconstruction

  • What happened?

  • Was the driver's testimony consistent with physical evidence, including the tire marks, bicycle damage, truck point of rest, and bicyclist's injuries?

  • What was the path of the tractor trailer?

  • Where was the bicyclist when hit?

  • Did the tractor trailer climb the curb?

Single Vehicle Loss of Control.  A teenage driver is rendered quadriplegic after he losses control of his vehilce which collides into a stationary object on the side of the road

  • What were the mechanisms of injury?

  • Was the vehicle's restraint system being properly used?

  • What was the motion of the occupant's body within the vehicle's interior?

  • Would the occupant have sustained the same injury had he been properly restrained?

Rollover Accident Reconstruction

  • What was the roll sequence?

  • What were the mechanisms of injury?

  • What was the motion of the occupant's body during the roll sequence?

  • Would the occupant have sustained the same injuries had he/she been properly restrained?

Seat Belt Analysis.  The unrestrained driver of the Jeep was fatally injured in this side impact collision when he was ejected from his vehicle.

  • What was the impact severity of the collision?

  • What was the mechanism for the injury?

  • What was the motion of the occupant's body during the crash?

  • Would the occupant have sustained the same injuries had he been properly restrained?

Fall Analysis.  The passenger of a golf cart fell and received a head injury when she stepped out of the moving cart

  • What was the body motion during the fall?

  • Would falling as a result of stepping out of the moving cart have resulted in the observed injuries and body point of rest?

Biomechanical Analysis for an Out-of-Position Occupant.  A rear-facing airplane occupant was fatally injured in a plane crash

  • What were the mechanisms for the head and neck injuries?

  • Were the lap and shoulder belts properly worn?

  • Could proper seat belt use have mitigated the observed injuries?
